Dear artists and friends of the gallery!

We are delighted to bring you

Our May Online Group Art Show "May Flowers"

As a way to welcome the arrival of Spring, our May group art show ”May Flowers” celebrates flowers, their beauty, and rich historical significance in various cultures worldwide. Throughout history, humans have used flowers to communicate their emotions and to commemorate various occasions. The beauty and fleeting nature of flowers and the diverse cultural associations and symbolism attached to them have served as an inspiration to many great artists from Vincent Van Gogh to Maria Sibylla Merian. In this group show the selected 55 artists showcase how flowers have remained an emblem of beauty and significance in both art and human culture over the ages.

Solo Show by Adriana Azevedo!

We are happy to announce that Adriana Azevedo our Solo Show winner from "Connections" premiers her show today and the show runs from May 1 to 31st.

You can view the show on our Website.

Adriana Azevedo was born in 1970 in Natal, Brazil. During the Covid pandemic lockdown, she's unleashed her artistic passion and embraced it. As an immigrant artist based in Florida, her unique Brazilian perspective and cultural background inspire her creative expression. She worked as an architect in Brazil for 2 decades before moving to the United States.

"I find my deepest inspiration in the fascinating worlds of Cubism and Surrealism. These influential movements have ignited my creative spirit, guiding me to explore the intricate interplay between reality and imagination on canvas. My work is a reflection of the multifaceted nature of existence. Through the lens of Cubism, I deconstruct the ordinary, breaking down conventional forms into a tapestry of geometric shapes and angles. This allows me to unveil new dimensions within the familiar, encouraging viewers to contemplate the essence of what they see."

Congratulations Adriana and please enjoy her show everyone!

June Group Show "Moments"

Within the realm of art, time ceases to exist as a linear progression. Instead, it becomes an impression, allowing artists to freeze a single moment or a thing, preserving it in all its glory.

In our mesmerizing “Moments” group show, we invite artists to showcase those instances that have left an indelible mark on their art practice and their lives. It is through their various artistic expressions that we get to witness the power of art to immortalize fleeting moments of significance. From ordinary everyday objects that mean so much to us, the joy of a shared laugh with friends and family, the silent solitude of a sunrise, and the complex emotions woven into the fabric of human existence. Our ”Moments” group art show will celebrate the extraordinary concealed within the familiar, a reminder that within each moment lies boundless inspiration, contemplation, and wonder.

Elevate Your Artist Bio & Statement With

HMVC’s Gold Standard

We are very happy to announce that we have implemented a new service called "Artist's Writing Aid."

We are well aware of how artists struggle with writing Artist Bios and Statements because we review them every month. Many artists do not realize that their Artist Bio and Statement are a gateway to the art world and unfortunately many end up missing out on good opportunities because of poor writing.

So why not let us help you tell your story in a way that resonates, captivates, and elevates your artistic identity.

With our "Artist's Writing Aid", we provide you with a white glove mentor service by:

★ Uncover Your Unique Voice: We’ll conduct interviews and research to understand your artistic journey, inspirations, and aspirations.

★ Craft a Compelling Narrative: We will transform your experiences and thoughts into engaging narratives that captivate your audience.

★ Tailor for Your Audience: We consider your target audience—whether it’s galleries, collectors, or the general public—ensuring your artist bio and statement resonate with them.

★ Edit and Refine: We provide multiple rounds of revisions to ensure your bio and statement are perfect in every way.

Together, we’ll take your artistry to new heights!

HMVC Gallery New York is now offering you the opportunity to have your own solo show on our ArtPlacer virtual platform for a month. Because the artists in our community are at various stages in their careers, we have created three different plans for you to choose from Plan Manor, Plan Palace, and Plan Castle.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in doing a Solo Show with us.

Visit our ongoing Virtual Solo Show.

This service is by request only so if you would like to know more you can contact us via the contact form or email us at [email protected]
