"Piece of Me" February group show, Stephanie Bing & Hélène de Tyndare solo shows !

Dear artists and friends of the gallery!

We are delighted to bring you

Our February Online Group Art Show "Piece Of Me" !

Self-expression and personal narratives are the topics of our February group show. Many artists' art practice has always been centered around creating a multifaceted portrait of the human experience, which emphasizes both the similarities and differences between all of us, therefore artists are contributing to an open and inclusive dialogue about self-expression, narrative, and identity, making this group show "Piece of Me" not only a celebration of creativity but also a celebration of humanity. In this show, the juried 83 artists express themselves authentically adding plenty of richness to the show.

Virtual Solo Show by Stephanie Bing !

We are happy to bring you the Virtual Solo Show by Stephanie Bing! Visit Stephanie's showroom here:

Born in 1967 in Mannheim, Germany, Bing graduated with distinction from high school in Offenburg. Subsequently, she studied fine arts, painting, photography, art history, German, and literature at Johannes Gutenberg University and the Academy of Fine Arts in Mainz, again graduating with distinction. Following her education, she worked as an associate professor for the Bavarian Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, and the Bavarian Chamber of Architects until 2002. Bing focused on design, architecture, aesthetic perception, and digital media to promote visual literacy. Stephanie Bing studied painting in the master class of internationally renowned art professor Klaus Jürgen-Fischer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Mainz and photography in the master class of Professor Dr. Vladimir Spacek from Prague. In 2022, she won the international art prize "AWARD VIBES" in Frankfurt with her painting "Prophetia” and got the IIA 2022 Award in Photography and Digital Art as a Finalist at Camelback Gallery, Arizona, USA. Since 1989 Bing's art has been presented in national and international exhibitions. Her paintings are listed on the international art platform Arte Laguna World. In 2018, she formed her own company ninibing34, presenting a unique collection of colorful accessories, fashion, and interior design products produced in London. Her stylish goods are shipped worldwide. She operates a gallery and showroom in Korbach, Germany.

"I compose bright, surprising settings like a luxury jewel box and assimilate my interiors to unknown sanctuaries with high vibes. Everything in my paintings is playful, ambiguous, and multi-layered. I love variations within a theme and image quotations. My artwork is more than an assemblage of colors and patterns to please the eye. I build new environments that relate to nothing seen before. My pure aesthetic energy flows out of my artwork and brightens the viewer's mind with pure buzz and excitement. I love to break the traditional methods of spatial visualization and the three-dimensional physical illusions of a room to make the viewer's perception of reality absurd. I want to allow my audience to look behind the bare, well-known pictorial sphere by leaving behind the classically taught composition and inventing more layers within the two-dimensional canvas. By breaking the classical view, I can generate a new experience for my audience, pointing them to emotional reality. I turn my motives into bright, cheering works of art, like an explosion of colors and organic shapes. Creating is like breathing. Painting is surviving. The painting process itself is of the utmost importance in my daily life. I like to plunge into my painting process as others fall into a pool. Creating a new image is an effort to balance between visualizing and reflecting on my surroundings and emotions. The subjects of my work reflect a myriad of daily impressions from traveling and being in motion. While painting, I get an extraordinary sense of personal and creative freedom. I capture detailed and precise moments that bring a fresh and intriguing perspective to the world's reality. As the viewer sees now existing in a different light, context, or resolution, familiar objects appear as something new."

Solo Show by Hélène de Tyndare

We are happy to announce that Hélène de Tyndare, our Solo Show winner from "Unveiling The Layers" premiers her show today and the show runs from February 1 to 29th.

You can view the show on our Website.

Hélène de Tyndare is a French artist of Ukrainian origin. She was born in what was a pleasant city on the shores of the Sea of Azov called Mariupol. Her taste for painting was expressed very early. She has been trained by Ukrainian painters and she attended art courses in the Arkhip Kuindzhi art school located in Mariupol. She went to Kyiv University before acquiring experience in engineering and development in Siberia, Ukraine, Italy, and France. After she moved to France in the year 2000 she progressively became fully dedicated to her artistic activity. Her studio was first in the Paris area and is now located in the French Riviera. Her most recent exhibitions were in Paris, Monaco and Milano. Then the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine by Russia started in February 2022. Among other war crimes against civilians, Mariupol was turned into ruins and death. As an artist, Hélène de Tyndare has expressed her overload of deep emotions generated by this brutal war through a series of paintings called «Invasion».

"I have always practiced painting. After a career as an engineer, I have been practicing my artistic activities full-time for ten years in my studio located in Boulogne Billancourt until 2019 and in Cannes since 2020.

I can now live my emotions through an artistic expression whose originality of style is now well affirmed. My gaze is nourished by the diversity of my past experiences in environments such as Siberia, Central Asia, and Central Europe and my many trips to France, Europe, and North America. I have my artistic style which I call cartographic expressionism. My works have in common the use of living colors. In the portraits, I try to translate the humanity that emerges from the gaze and the attitude of the model. In landscapes, I reproduce the emotions that particular atmospheres and luminosity inspire in me. The relationship between nature and human beings is the basis of the common reflection that inspires me in these two themes of portraiture and landscape. For the portraits, my models are either relatives or photographs that have triggered my emotions and my creative energy. The emotions and attitudes reflected in my work are as varied as serenity, wisdom, tenderness, fragility, melancholy, curiosity, empathy, reflection, energy, courage, or pride."

Congratulations Hélène and please enjoy her show everyone!

March Group Show "Girl Power!"

Ever since it made its grand entrance on the popular culture stage thanks to the US punk band Bikini Kill, the term “Girl Power” has steadfastly held its position as a significant (political) catchphrase. “Girl Power” gained more prominence in pop culture after it was embraced by the British pop band the Spice Girls in the late 90’s, transforming it into a significant and appealing slogan. The meaning of ”Girl Power” is a self-reliant attitude among people in ambition, assertiveness, and individualism. In this art show, we wish to pay homage to the voices and the stories woven by women across generations. It is a tribute to the transformations, the triumphs, and the unity that can arise when women unapologetically embrace their individuality and their stories. Artists are encouraged to embrace diversity and show the multicultural experiences and perspectives of women. This art show welcomes artworks from all genders, but the subject of the show is girls/women.

We welcome artworks from all mediums of visual art, except AI-created art, and video/film.

Elevate Your Artist Bio & Statement With

HMVC’s Gold Standard

We are very happy to announce that we have implemented a new service called "Artist's Writing Aid."

We are well aware of how artists struggle with writing Artist Bios and Statements because we review them every month. Many artists do not realize that their Artist Bio and Statement are a gateway to the art world and unfortunately many end up missing out on good opportunities because of poor writing.

So why not let us help you tell your story in a way that resonates, captivates, and elevates your artistic identity.

With our "Artist's Writing Aid", we provide you with a white glove mentor service by:

★ Uncover Your Unique Voice: We’ll conduct interviews and research to understand your artistic journey, inspirations, and aspirations.

★ Craft a Compelling Narrative: We will transform your experiences and thoughts into engaging narratives that captivate your audience.

★ Tailor for Your Audience: We consider your target audience—whether it’s galleries, collectors, or the general public—ensuring your artist bio and statement resonate with them.

★ Edit and Refine: We provide multiple rounds of revisions to ensure your bio and statement are perfect in every way.

Together, we’ll take your artistry to new heights!

HMVC Gallery New York is now offering you the opportunity to have your own solo show on our ArtPlacer virtual platform for a month.
