Virtual Solo Show by Stanislav Riha and April Call For Art!

Virtual Solo Show by Stanislav Riha!

We are delighted to bring you this wonderful abstract artshow by Stanislav Riha !

Born in 1952 in Prague, former Czechoslovakia. He grew up in Lesser Town (Malá Strana), surrounded by great medieval and modern art and artists that caused his desire to create. From early childhood, he enjoyed drawing and later painting; as a young man, he focused mainly on surrealism. His artistic attitude was shaped by many art courses in childhood, followed by art training by MgA Milos Saska and work in set production of the Realistic Theatre. In 1980, he lived for a year in Grinzing, Vienna, Austria, and then moved to Vancouver, BC, Canada. Enchanted with the natural beauty of British Columbia, he dedicated the first few years to realistic nature themes and then switched to Surreal and later Surreal-abstract creative work.

"In the last three decades, I have been creating wall-mounted, cast resin, and aluminum sculptures combined with canvas and gold leaf and exploring the computer as an art tool for creating digital artwork. All my life, I have loved to create art full of emotions and feelings, "soul," with the satisfaction of fun. I am interested in the balance and composition of colors and objects rather than the reality of the items. The direction of the last two decades has been aimed at understanding and, through artwork, expressing the human struggle of emotions and adaptations. For the past ten years, I have been polishing my creative work in the Surreal-abstract style. The main motto of my artwork is: Just as in a good story, the readers have space to create their image; in a good picture, the viewers can form their account."

March Group Show "Connections"

The theme of our April group show ”Connections” explores the artists’ connection with their art practice. The more an artist connects with their art, the easier it is to translate their vision, whether this is a figurative subject, an imaginative work, or an abstract piece. As we immerse ourselves in the beauty and depth of artistic expression, This theme serves as a medium for our artists to express the deep connections they have with their artworks. Beneath our diverse experiences, cultures, and backgrounds, we all share a common longing for connection. We wish our artists to open a captivating window into the intimate relationships they have with their work, with other people, with their environment, and with their inner selves. In a world often filled with division and isolation, the ”Connections” group show is meant to be a poignant exploration of the power of human connection through the universal language of art.

We welcome artworks from all mediums of visual art, except AI-created art, and video/film.

Elevate Your Artist Bio & Statement With

HMVC’s Gold Standard

We are very happy to announce that we have implemented a new service called "Artist's Writing Aid."

We are well aware of how artists struggle with writing Artist Bios and Statements because we review them every month. Many artists do not realize that their Artist Bio and Statement are a gateway to the art world and unfortunately many end up missing out on good opportunities because of poor writing.

So why not let us help you tell your story in a way that resonates, captivates, and elevates your artistic identity.

With our "Artist's Writing Aid", we provide you with a white glove mentor service by:

★ Uncover Your Unique Voice: We’ll conduct interviews and research to understand your artistic journey, inspirations, and aspirations.

★ Craft a Compelling Narrative: We will transform your experiences and thoughts into engaging narratives that captivate your audience.

★ Tailor for Your Audience: We consider your target audience—whether it’s galleries, collectors, or the general public—ensuring your artist bio and statement resonate with them.

★ Edit and Refine: We provide multiple rounds of revisions to ensure your bio and statement are perfect in every way.

Together, we’ll take your artistry to new heights!

HMVC Gallery New York is now offering you the opportunity to have your own solo show on our ArtPlacer virtual platform for a month. Because the artists in our community are at various stages in their careers, we have created three different plans for you to choose from Plan Manor, Plan Palace, and Plan Castle.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in doing a Solo Show with us.
